About Me

My name is Christina and this is my little pet project to get my creative juices flowing. After being a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) for 11 years, I wanted to help those of you caring for children full-time by providing some fun ideas for keeping your preschool-aged children entertained.

Believe me, I know how easy it is to get trapped in the “superwoman” mentality, putting so much pressure on ourselves to do everything well and without help. But when you fall into that trap, your kids get older and then you reach a point where you wonder how you missed all those wonderful moments with them, even though you were home.

Summertime can be especially challenging when you have the older siblings home and now you need to entertain them as well as your preschoolers. I try hard to post ideas that can be adapted for any age group.

I also try to include useful online resources in my posts so you can save time by not having to do your own online research. I certainly remember the days of wanting to check something “quickly” only to have my toddler hitting the keyboard or getting ready to pull a wire.

Thank you for visiting Surviving At Home. You’re always welcome to visit again and I hope you’re inspired to try some of our ideas.
