Haiku…say what?
Geez Louise…the second week’s writing assignment from A Readable Feast is to write a haiku. I feel a flashback to elementary school! Didn’t understand it then and although I can count syllables, the words escape me now.
Haiku is three lines.
The first and third lines have five syllables
and the second line has seven.
I’m not giving up, though. I just need a bit longer to think about it. Why not add one more thing to this brain that already feels scrambled with end-of-the-school-year stuff!
