Surviving The Summer At Home…Building Your Family Tree
by Christina ~ June 21st, 2008. Filed under: Themed Activities.
I’m very excited to share this week’s activity report with you because I just loved researching my family tree. I started when I was about 13 years old, taking notes and filling in the blanks of my family tree journal that I had gotten for Christmas.
Young children can help create many different family history projects; they don’t have to strictly write in a journal. There are lots of ideas in this report and your kids will have fun while learning about some personal history!

I’ve never really been into the whole family tree thing. It’s just never been something I’ve cared about. But now that I’m getting older, it intrigues me so I guess now would be a good time to learn about my family tree because I can do it with my son too.

I really do think it’s neat. Although I’m not close to my Mom’s side and haven’t seen my Dad or his side in years I do still think it’s neat to go back generations.
I think it would be more fun to do my husbands side … since I have a relationship with them LOL
